Ingredients
| 1 | red onion, chopped finely |
| 6 | portobello mushrooms, chopped into small pieces |
| 1 tsp | Steenbergs Organic mixed dried herbs |
| 1 can (400g) | white beans |
| 1 tbsp | dark tahini |
| 1 tbsp | organic soy sauce |
| 1 | clove garlic |
| 3 pieces | of stale bread made into crumbs |
| juice of 1 lemon | |
| oat or almond milk | |
| Sesame seeds | |
| Steenbergs Organic perfect salt | |
| Puff pastry |
Method
- Fry onions until soft and add the herbs and mushrooms. Cook until soft
- Put the beans, tahini, soy sauce and garlic in a food processor with the mushroom mixture and whizz until mixed to a puree. Add breadcrumbs and mix. Add perfect salt and other spices according to taste
- roll out the pastry and cut into 6 squares - size depending on how big you wish your pasties to be
- Put 3-4 tablesoons of mixture in the middle of the pastry square. Brush edges with milk and fold the pastry over,s ealing the edges
- Scatter with sesame seeds
- bake at 200oC for approx 25 minutes
