Ingredients
| 4 - 5 tsp | muscovado sugar, or other brown sugar |
| ¾tsp | loose-packed saffron threads |
| 4 | organic cardamom pods, lightly crushed |
| 900ml | freshly drawn water |
Method
- Place saffron onto piece of foil. Fold foil over saffron, then crush threads with rolling pin. Put water, organic cardamom and sugar in a lidded pan and bring to a boil. As soon as bubbles appear, add the crushed organic saffron, cover and turn off the heat.
- Let the tea steep for 1 hour. Heat again, strain and serve in tea glasses or tea cups.
