Steenbergs Organic Herbes de Provence is Axel Steenberg's take on that classic French blend of dried herbs and lavender flowers. It has some of the pungency of mixed herbs and bouquet garni, but the strength is softened through the addition of tarragon, celery and lavender buds.
The core of Steenbergs Organic Herbes de Provence is organic thyme herb with its characteristic sharpness and bay with its camphor tones. To this, we add marjoram and parsley giving the mix freshness with an almost new-mown-grass smell. These are then softened through the addition of tarragon's anise - freshness, the lightness of celery seeds and the floral tastes of lavender flowers.
