Spanish-style green beans

What to do

  1. Top and tail the beans and string them. Cut into pieces. Boil in salted water for 10 minutes until soft and tender, then drain. Fry the onion in oil until soft. Add garlic and when starts to colour add ham, tomatoes and beans. Half cover with water, add wine vinegar, sugar and pepper and simmer, covered for about 10 minutes until beans are really tender. Serve hot.
