Brussels with Caraway

Although some people love sprouts, there was a need to add a little interest to them in order to see them enjoyed by everyone at the table in our family! Sometimes I add bacon too for a little extra colour.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Cut the bottom off the sprout and remove a couple of outer leaves if damaged
  2. Blanch in boiling water for 4 minutes
  3. Melt the butter and olive oil in a heavy bottomed pan
  4. Add the brussels and cook for 2 minutes, according to 'crunch' required of the sprouts. Add perfect salt and caraway seeds and toss
