Saffron Tea

Wonderfully decadent! If you have any glasses or cups with gold rims - or even gold cups - use these and imagine you're in a mythical Persian or Moghul paradise.

Recipe for 4

Ingredients

What to do?

  1. Place organic saffron onto piece of foil. Fold foil over organic saffron, then crush threads with rolling pin. Put water, organic cardamom and sugar in a lidded pan and bring to a boil. As soon as bubbles appear, add the crushed organic saffron, cover and turn off the heat.
  2. Let the tea steep for 1 hour. Heat again, strain and serve in tea glasses or tea cups.
