Fair Trade caster sugar from Traidcraft. This Fairtrade sugar comes from Craft Aid in Mauritius.

This Traidcraft Fairtrade caster sugar is light, free-flowing fine sugar, just right for cake and biscuit baking. Suitable for vegetarians.

Traidcraft sugar from Mauritius is packed by Craft Aid. This work provides a group of disabled people with regular employment. Together with Craft Aid and FTO (a Dutch fair trade organisation), Traidcraft has supported a group of sugar farmers through Fairtrade certification which means that sugar from Craft Aid is now both fairly grown and packed!

"We are very thankful to Traidcraft because they were ready to accept our weaknesses and build us up. Other companies wouldn't care about that. Gaby Kamadu Managing Director"

Craft Aid was founded in 1982 with the main aim of providing paid employment for disabled people and helping in their rehabilitation. There are currently 125 employees 40% of whom are disabled. There are departments for fair trade furniture making, pressed flower cards, hand screen-printed fair trade t-shirts and also a facility for packing sugar and tea
