Steenbergs Organic Gravy Powder Mix is a delicious gravy mix which works on anything you want to add gravy to. The biggest challenge in creating this recipe for an organic gravy powder was the colouring - most of the organic gravy powders on the market use an artificial caramel based colour that's got a really nasty metallic and bitter flavour to it that we just didn't like. So we came up with organic carob powder as the colouring and it also gives the recipe a rich, chocolatey flavour that's weird but quite satisfying. Steenbergs Organic Gravy Powder can be used in the same way as traditional gravy powders, ie just add some water and off you go, or you can use it to give your own gravies made from stock a boost and some colour.
Steenbergs Organic Gravy Powder is hand blended to Axel Steenberg's own recipe at Steenbergs factory in North Yorkshire. Steenbergs Organic Gravy Powder is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
