Grumpy Mule Organic Fairtrade Sumatra Coffee

This delicious organic roasted and ground filter coffee is darker roasted, full bodied and very smooth. Great character and depth of flavour. Strength 4. Fantastic after-dinner coffee.

This coffee is grown in the Gayo Highlands of Northern Sumatra by the Farmers of the PPKGO Cooperative. The Fairtrade certified cooperative has around 1600 small-holder members across 30 different communities. These coffee familieis live in an environmentally sensitive area near the Gunung Leuser National Park, making sustainable agricultural practices vital. The Fairtrae premiums have prompted investment in local community development including a potable water system and improvements in coffee quality.

Grumpy Mule is based in Holmfirth, Yorkshire, where they roast all the different coffees and are passionate about coffee, provenance, sustainability flavour and aroma.
