At Steenbergs, we've created this mix organic Fairtrade green masala chai to bring together everyone's interest in green teas these days with the classic flavours of a masala chai. Versions of this organic green chai tea can be found throughout the Middle East where they will often put in a pistachio nut to float in the cup. Steenbergs recipe is a luxurious recipe that includes crushed organic saffron. We take great quality organic green tea from India, then hand-blend this in small batches at our factory in Ripon, North Yorkshire in England. We hand-blend the organic spices to our own secret recipe, then mix it into the organic green tea. These are then left to infuse for 2 weeks before they are packed down.
Brewing tip: Boil 1250ml water together with some sugar and 3 tsp organic green chai tea for about 4 - 5 minutes, then relax and enjoy. For more details on making organic chai tea, please go to recipe for organic green chai tea.
