Steenbergs Organic Mixed Spice is a blend of sweet spices for flavouring cakes, biscuits, sweet pies, pastries and reminds us of Christmas - from Christmas cake through to Christmas pudding and those wonderful warm smells of mince pies and mulled wine mixed in with the aroma of cinnamon , nutmeg , ginger and the great camphor-like flavours of cloves .
At Steenbergs Organic, we have developed our own blend of Organic Mixed Spice . Steenbergs Organic Mixed Spice is a blend of Steenbergs organic spices bought straight from Sri Lankan smallholders - organic cinnamon , organic nutmeg , organic ginger , organic cloves and organic cardamom - mixed with Latin American organic allspice . You might think it strange that we then add a high proportion of organic ground coriander seeds, but this brings all the diverse flavours together. Steenbergs organic mixed spice is blended at Steenbergs dedicated spice factory in North Yorkshire from organic coriander seeds, organic cinnamon , organic nutmeg , organic allspice , organic ginger , organic cloves and organic ground green cardamom seeds.
