Produced by a small, traditional salt business in the Algarve, Portugal, Steenbergs Fleur de Sel or "flower of salt" is hand-harvested daily from the surface of the salt-pan like cream from milk. The Fleur de Sel has a wonderful bouquet from the naturally occurring trace elements that naturally highlights food flavours and crumbles easily between the fingers. Perfect for sauted potatoes or crush with Tellicherry peppercorns or fragrant fresh herbs and use for seasoning any meat. This wonderful salt producer is part of the Slow Food Movement.
This salt is approved for use in organic food production by the Organic Food Federation (organic certification UK4).
